Renee Busse, Associate Renee D. Busse grew up in Fairfield, Ohio and earned her B.A. in Philosophy at the University of Cincinnati in 2011. She went on to attend law school at the University of Cincinnati William Howard Taft College of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctorate in 2014. During her law school career, she interned with the Butler County Public Defender Office. She served as an Associate Member of the Immigration and Nationality Law Review, and did volunteer research for Human Rights Quarterly and the Ohio Innocence Project. She was also an active member of UC Law’s Out and Allies organization. Renee was admitted to the Ohio State Bar in December 2014. As a solo attorney, she practiced in family law and civil appellate practice, and went on to practice primarily family law at a local firm. During her career, her practice has expanded to include criminal appellate practice, corporate and commercial law, creditor’s rights and collections, landlord/tenant practice, and estate planning. Renee joined Elsass, Wallace, Evans & Co., LPA in September 2018. Her practice areas include administrative law, appellate practice, corporate and commercial law, creditor’s rights and collections, real estate, and estate planning. Outside of the office, Renee enjoys canoeing, hiking, traveling, feminism and politics. She is an avid crafter, amateur author, and bookworm.
